WuXi AppTec Senior Director, in vitro ADME Studies in Shanghai, China
Overview
This position is responsible for leading a team of around 100 across Mainland China, with a focus on ADME services.It is an operational head position with responsibility for providing both high level client engagement and high level leadership.
Job Location: Shanghai, China
Responsibilities
Lead the research and services of in vitro ADME studies (including CYP inhibition and induction, CYP phenotyping, and UGT phenotyping, etc).
Provide scientific guidance to DMPK personnel on the above areas
Manage daily operation of the group
Prepare protocol, cost analysis, and quotation suggestion for new business
May serve as DMPK representative in integrated program
Provide business development strategy and conduct process improvement/optimization.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations of WuXi AppTec
To manage a team with 50/+ employee and be able to strengthen the team and develop the people, be expected to expand the talent pool for the team
To allocate resource to projects and supervise all on-going projects to ensure data quality and on-time delivery. Be able to build and establish good relationship with client via strong scientific knowledge and good people skill.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutical/life sciences with strong understanding of drug metabolism enzymes, drug-drug interaction is required. The candidate should have at least 510 years of experience in Biotech, Pharmaceutical or research in the areas of ADME/DMPK.
Working knowledge of lab automation, pharmacokinetic data analysis, and interpretation of DMPK properties relevant to drug development.
Working knowledge of DMPK related regulations and regulatory guidelines from ICH, FDA, EMA, and NMPA.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated management and leadership skills.
Fluent in both English and Mandarin, written and oral
